Frequently asked questions
What is tablature and how is it different from sheet music?
Sheet music says which note to play and for how long. Tablature only says which string and fret of the guitar to play it on, not its duration. It is a simplified notation.
Which files can I upload?
Scores as PDF or MusicXML (.mxl, .musicxml, .xml). MusicXML gives the most accurate result because it is a machine-readable format.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free and needs no sign-up. Only upload scores you have the right to use.
Can I correct the tab?
Yes. The tab can be edited measure by measure.
What happens to my files?
Your file is private, used only to generate the tablatures and deleted automatically after 24 hours.
