Aguado’s Sheet Music
Lessons, exercises and studies from Dionisio Aguado’s (1784–1849) Nuevo método para guitarra (1843), with sheet music and tab to download.
Musical pieces from Dionisio Aguado’s Nuevo método para guitarra (Madrid, 1843): the lessons with a musical example, the right-hand exercises and the studies of the third section. Each piece keeps the number and the name it has in the book, and not all of them are here: only those that could be checked against the original are published.
The printed source is the 1843 facsimile distributed by IMSLP. The notes start from the MuseScore transcriptions that TabGuitar publishes for free download; each one is checked against the book before it appears here, and the PDF is generated again, with the tablature computed by the engine of the site’s “Sheet Music with Tablature” tool: they are not TabGuitar’s PDFs.
The tablature fingering is a suggestion: most notes can be played in more than one place on the neck. The book’s finger numbers, the right-hand letters and the barre and position marks are not included. Bars the book abbreviates with the bar-repeat sign are written out in full.
