Sor’s Progressive Lessons
Progressive lessons from Fernando Sor’s (1778–1839) Op. 60, Introduction à l’étude de la guitare, with sheet music and tab to download.
Fernando Sor’s Op. 60, Introduction à l’étude de la guitare, collects 25 progressive lessons, from the simplest to those that already ask for several voices. Each piece keeps the number it has in the work, and they are not all here: the ones that could be checked are published.
The notes come from the LilyPond editions of the Mutopia Project (Fabrice De Volder and Hajo Dezelski, Creative Commons BY-SA license). Each one is compared note by note with Mutopia’s own score and MIDI before it appears here; the PDF is generated again, with the tab calculated by the engine of the site’s “Sheet Music with Tablature” tool. Being BY-SA, the PDFs and MusicXML files on this page are shared under the same license.
The tab fingering is a suggestion: most notes can be played in more than one place on the fretboard. The numbers above the notes are the left-hand fingers from the source edition, and the tab respects them. Each PDF carries a credit to the source edition at the bottom.
